I´m Nico Schnell, a photographer and visual designer based in the Black Forest, Germany.

My photography is shaped by a fascination with places — from quiet urban spaces to remote landscapes and the moments found somewhere in between.

I am drawn to atmosphere, changing light and the way scale can transform how a place feels. Rather than simply documenting what is in front of me, I try to capture what made me stop and look in the first place.

Sometimes that means a city reduced to light and geometry. Sometimes a vast landscape, a moment of stillness or an unexpected encounter with wildlife.

For me, photography is less about showing where I have been — and more about preserving how it felt to be there.
